Ilyn Wong
Ilyn Wong is a US-born, Taiwan-raised, and Berlin-based multi-disciplinary artist. In addition to her artistic practice, she also writes and collaborates on curatorial and editorial projects. She has an MFA in Fine Arts from Parsons The New School for Design, an MA in Art History from the University of Amsterdam, and a BFA in painting from Washington University in St. Louis. Wong’s site-specific project was included in the outdoor biennial SMACH. She has also exhibited her work in The Kitchen in New York, at Syracuse University, and the Aronson Galleries in The New School, as well as various galleries and venues in Berlin, Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago, and St. Louis. Her writings have been included in publications in the US, The Netherlands, and Germany. She has received grants and scholarships from the City of Somerville (Massachusetts, USA), the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown (Massachusetts, USA), Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts (Tennessee, USA), the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity (Alberta, Canada), and the University of Amsterdam. She has been an artist-in-residence at The Edward Albee Foundation (Montauk, NY) and ZK/U (Berlin), amongst others.
