Ismene King
Ismene King (b.1993) is a graduate from the MFA Sculpture programme at the Slade School of Fine Art, UCL, London (2015-2017) where she received the Jeanne Szego Award. She currently lives and works in Athens. Ismene works across media; her practice includes ceramics, sculpture, drawing and performance, and a developing curatorial practice. Selected exhibitions include the international ‘Back to Athens 2020’ festival, ‘(dis)placement’ at Jacaranda, Rio de Janeiro (2017), ‘MEMEMEME’ at The Crypt Gallery, London (2017), and ‘Indigo Vastness’, on-site exhibition at UCLH University College Hospital, London (2016). Her recent curatorial work is the group exhibition ‘APOTROPAION’ at 16 Fokionos Negri, Athens (2021), as part of The Sotiris Felios Collection. Her works are part of the private collections.
